Meet Daily Elements, a brand revolutionizing the supplement market with their microgreens powder.
Backed by Relish, a full-service marketing agency, Daily Elements has quickly become a standout brand. They've been with Daily Elements since day one, helping with everything from branding and packaging to website design and influencer marketing.
Curious about their journey and secrets? We were too.
We interviewed Jovana Zuka - Influencer & Affiliate Marketing expert at Relish, and here’s what we found out →
Daily Elements began like many other DTC brands — focusing on a mix of organic and paid social media to build their brand and reach new customers. This initial strategy worked well, helping them gain traction and establish a solid customer base.
As they grew, Daily Elements decided to give influencer marketing a try. The results were incredible, and they never looked back. Influencer marketing quickly became their main focus, with the goal of scaling it up to become their primary marketing channel.
Hang on, why influencers?
Daily Elements turned to influencers for two reasons:
1. To build brand awareness authentically. They wanted to leverage user-generated content (UGC) to connect with their audience on a personal level.
2. To create a community of like-minded individuals who value clean, healthy supplements. By partnering with influencers who genuinely love their product, Daily Elements could spread their message more effectively and build a loyal following.
Daily Elements didn’t just want quick wins; they wanted lasting relationships. This strategy was driven by the nature of their product—a microgreens powder that many customers use daily and can subscribe to for regular deliveries. To reflect this, their influencer partnerships needed genuine, long-term engagements rather than one-off promotions.
Our strategy was centered around long-term partnerships — Not just do one off-seeding, but find partners who’ll be with Daily Elements for the long term. We wanted to create this partnership with influencers after they’ve had the chance to try and use the product.
It's really important for us to build long-term partnerships. We've connected with a few influencers from the start, creating content with them over a longer period. This product is not a one-time purchase but a subscription meant to be part of daily life. Our approach with partners mirrors this philosophy.
Daily Elements implemented a tiered commission structure to encourage and maintain these long-term relationships. The more an influencer sold, the higher their commission rate, with additional perks for top performers. This structure incentivized influencers to promote the product and rewarded their success and loyalty.
The commission structure allows us to grow the brand together with the influencers. It's a mutually beneficial relationship that fosters long-term commitment.
But how did they know where to start with all of this?
Let’s backtrack a little →
Instead of mass seeding, Daily Elements decided to be selective about their influencers. They focused on finding niche and specific influencers aligned with their brand values and would naturally integrate Daily Elements into their daily routines and promote it authentically.
To execute this selective strategy, Daily Elements initially did everything manually. They searched for potential influencers on Instagram, racked everything on spreadsheets, and reached out one-by-one on DMs and emails.
This approach was slow, labor-intensive, and difficult to scale.
As their influencer program grew, it became clear that doing everything manually wasn’t sustainable.
They needed a more efficient way to find and manage these niche influencers, track their interactions, and measure results.
We wanted to scale the program and find more people who are on brand with the product. Doing that manually took tremendous time and effort, especially in sourcing all these people, talking to them, and building those relationships. We wanted to speed up that process. Our approach was not just an affiliate/influencer/gifting or seeding approach, but actual partnerships.
Enter SARAL.
Daily Elements turned to SARAL to make their influencer strategy more efficient. It was exactly what they needed.
With SARAL, they were able to streamline their processes, significantly increase their content output, and improve their overall efficiency.
We wanted to use a tool where we could source influencers better and not do everything manually. To speed up and optimize the process and track everything - affiliate sales, the seeding of the product, and posts, in one place. SARAL was doing that.
The success of any strategy lies in its foundation. As long as you stick to your basics
Daily Elements used SARAL’s discovery feature to identify influencers who matched their brand values.
The discovery tool is great. The filters help us find influencers who truly align with our brand values.
We use past influencers we've worked with, add them to a list, and then get lookalike audiences. It has been perfect and helpful for us. We have found some great creators.
SARAL's CRM, aka Creator Relationship Management system, allowed Daily Elements to keep detailed records of all influencer interactions, posts, and payments.
This level of organization was needed to not let a single conversation slip through.
We love the relationships dashboard and that we have a profile for each of our influencers where we can log posts, see the whole communication, log payments, see how much product we've sent, etc. The list building is also good for us because it optimizes our entire process of outreach and building relationships.
Execution is only as good as your ability to track and analyze what worked.
SARAL’s performance dashboard makes this easy, offering a convenient way to monitor everything from traffic to sales and commissions.
SARAL's dashboard feels like it was built by someone who really understands the whole process. It tracks everything from affiliate sales to product seeding, making it easy to manage our long-term partnerships effectively.
Daily Elements' journey with SARAL led to some exciting results.
Before SARAL, they produced one partnership reel a month.
Within a few months on SARAL, they achieved a massive leap—a 5x increase, rolling out four to five reels every month.
This surge in content led to more visibility, higher engagement, and growth, allowing them to connect with their audience more effectively.
With our manual approach we would get one partnership reel a month. With SARAL, we had a partnership reel every week. That was a significant jump in just 2-3 months.
But is all of this possible without spending 1000s of dollars?
Jovana’s words, not ours →
What made SARAL stand out is the fact that it is a one-stop shop for everything. Plus, pricing for a small brand like Daily Elements makes a lot of difference. This tool has provided the best value for their dollar.
Thanks, Jovana!
In the bustling world of DTC brands, standing out can be tough—especially when influencers have your competitor brands vying for their attention. For Daily Elements, it’s competing with a mammoth like Athletic Greens.
But they have a simple way to crack the code.
Here’s how they did it →
Daily Elements focuses on finding a subgroup of influencers who operate in the wellness space and care about specific values like transparency, ingredient cleanliness, and local production.
We approach influencers who care about transparency, the cleanliness of ingredients, and the fact that the product is made in the US. This helps us build a community aligned with the brand's values.
They knew they had something special. The fact that Daily Elements is made from microgreens, which have immense health benefits, is a strong selling point that catches influencers' interest. They use this to first educate the creators about their USP.
We educate by providing background information about Daily Elements and how its microgreens-based formula stands out among the supplements on the market. Wellness influencers recognize the quality and benefits of microgreens and express interest in trying the product, even if they are already consuming another greens powder. We focus on sharing the brand's story and highlighting the exceptional qualities of the product, which resonates strongly with both consumers and influencers.
They first build strong base within a specific niche. Once they establish awareness within that niche, they expand to more influencer subgroups.
We start with influencers focused on wellness and transparency, then gradually expand to broader niches once we have initial awareness.
And there you have it.
Daily Elements' journey from a small green powder brand to a big name in the supplement market shows how smart influencer partnerships and using tools like SARAL can make a huge difference. They've boosted their content and brand visibility by keeping things real and focusing on long-term relationships. Their strategy of working with influencers who share their values and expanding gradually is an excellent example for other brands.
